What We Do

We at designchuchi have passion for two things: cutting-edge technology and beautiful design and what we love the most is combining the two. We keep up-to-date on newest developments and evolutions in both worlds and we like to integrate this knowledge and enthusiasm in our work.

Consultation

Before we start working on your project we assemble a catalog of requirements and possible solutions in dialog with you, our client. We show you current trends, advise you on possible solutions and always respect your input. Whether you come to us with just a vague idea or a full fleshed out concept for your project, whether we have to start from scratch or just fine-tune some details, we will adapt to your specific situations and needs.

Design

We think that design should not only be beautiful to look at, design should always be functional. Design is not only aesthetics, it's also user oriented information transfer. We will design your project with consideration of your input and corporate identity. If you haven't the latter we can help you create one. Individuality is a very important point, every design we create is unique and tailored to your specific wishes, needs and professional environment. When we design your project we already think about the technical implementation and can thus ensure a smooth development process.

Code

With two masters in computer science on our team, we know everything there is to know about algorithms, databases, complexity, the NP=P problem and all the other stuff you don't care about - the good news is: you won't have to.

Our code is hand-crafted and follows current coding standards. We keep up-to-date on best practices and design patterns, we are also active in various development communities, for example with the content management system we use.

We not only provide back-end programming though, we're also enthusiastic to deliver front-end programming that adheres to the newest standards and guidelines.

We optimize markup and style code and test our websites on all the major browsers and operating systems, so your website will work and look the same in every environment.

Standards

We are very relentless when it comes to standards - to ourselves and to others. Whether we talk about web standards, coding standards or others. But why are they important? Regarding the web, the following can be said:

Standards help reduce the cost and complexity of development while increasing the accessibility and long-term viability of any site published on the Web.

Here are some other important points:1

• Websites who comply with standards get greater visibility in web searches, because search engines have an easier time accessing, evaluating and indexing such sites.
• Standards are written so that old browsers will still understand the basic structure of your documents. Even if they can't understand the newest additions to the standards, they'll be able to display the content of standard compliant websites.
• Compliant Documents can easily be converted to other formats such as databases or word documents.
• An important idea of web standards is accessibility. This means that people with disabilities or people using other browsers than the usual ones will be able to understand and interact with your website. So by following standards one does not restrict access to his website.

We create websites following current standard recommendations from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This guarantees fast, barrier-free, easy to maintain and enhance websites.
